I don’t even care about the price so much as long as it’s the healthiest option I can afford and my cat likes her food. I’ve been feeding my cat a mix of different dry foods, including Taste of the Wild brand, with Tiki Cat broth toppers and Merrick Purrfect Bistro pate cans. She’s not too picky and likes her food currently but I want to switch up her dry food to something healthier with freeze-dried bits. Thanks for your thorough research!

Hi i know u mentioned Nulo … … I bought it one time.. I want to know is this cat wet food is actually good for my cat he’s a year old and 2 months…. I been giving him ZiWI grass fed beef wet food…. But it’s been a little too expensive …. For a 6 oz can that has 12 can food in one case box. I buy this twice a month is 60$ which total up to 120$ plus tax a month…… With Nulo is 12 oz a can for 24 cans .. which is pretty good for about 40$ plus tax. Is it ok to buy Nulo for him …. ? ..

Any chance you would consider updating your best budget cat food list from a few years ago?

Smalls had no odor and my cat wouldn’t even try it

  8. @Tacomaster-lq2ik on October 25, 2024 at 4:23 pm

My girlfriend’s cat is a domestic short hair and about 20 pounds. We are planning to switch him off of dry food and have him eat wet food only. If anyone has any recommendations for wet food please let me know.

What happened to Feline Natural and Ziwi Peak? They appear in the photo of the top foods but are not mentioned.

  12. @Rose-i4g2w on October 25, 2024 at 4:29 pm

    Hey guys!
This will be a long one, so thank if you read it through!
I would like to ask for advice
I have a 13 years old cat who has always been very picky but recently the issue is he gets bored with his food very quickly. I switched him to raw a week ago at the beginning he was very excited, ate it all but nowadays he is starting to get uninterested. What this means is that when I give it to him he eats a couple of pieces or maybe half of it and that’s it. When he was younger dry food was always in front if him even at night which I know is not good so I don’t do it anymore but he has never eaten all the kibble in one sitting, it slowly disappeared by the morning. So I feel like this can be the problem that he has never had scheduled meal times because food was always available. He did eat wet food as well but that was his dinner so he knew that one is coming but still the kibble was always in front of him.
Can I teach him to eat all his food at once when I give it to him?
Now I give him food in the morning and at night
so if he only eats half of the food in the morning then hopefully he will be hungrier when dinner comes up.
I know I have to be patient especially with cats, they have to get use to their new routine but I admit I am the weak one because as he has gotten older he has become skinny and I want him to gain a little weight. Btw he is healthy, the vet checked him, did a blood test, everything is alright with him. I asked the Veteran if his weight was okay and he said yes but I know he used to a be a little “heavier” (in a healthy way).
Also, he isn’t lethargic or anything, he is playing, jumping etc. So I think it is the pickiness and my weakness/worrying because he has learned in the past when he didn’t like the food I gave him, I offered something else so I shouldn’t be surprised that he is playing games with me…
I know I made mistakes so please be kind to me🙏 I feel very alone and the whole situation is stressing me out these days because I love him so much and I want the best for him.

(Sorry if there is any grammar mistakes, english is not my native language)

I would love to see a video like this one for kittens! I’m getting two new kittens in a few weeks and I’m so overwhelmed trying to make sure I pick the best foods for them to grow and develop.

  14. @btpuppy2 on October 25, 2024 at 4:29 pm

You are not very savvy about ingredients. Natural flavors are BAD which is why they don’t disclose what makes them up anywhere, human food included. Your vitamin and mineral knowledge is also lacking. Sodium selenite is a toxic for of selenium. So is copper sulfate. These forms are NOT used as a human supplement. Look it up. Wikipedia says one can be used as a suicide means!

  15. @cosmeticsandpurseswithevelyn on October 25, 2024 at 4:31 pm

Why do you always use or offer the Pate style? My Cats prefer chunks gravy shreds etc they dont like Pate, Ive tried topping the Pate food with other regular foods they like and thetmy rarely would eat it which is why I avoid any Pate Cat foods drives me crazy trying to get them to eat it after making the mistake of trying a Pate case ..

  16. @janecha6124 on October 25, 2024 at 4:32 pm

My cats love the nulo one!

  17. @JCIK2311 on October 25, 2024 at 4:34 pm

Was excited until I saw Canola Oil as an ingredient. Damn!!!

  18. @upszilla on October 25, 2024 at 4:35 pm

I need low carb, low phosphorus cat food. Is there such a thing that’s not going to break my budget? So far my 14 year old cat loves Dr Elsey’s dry cat food but it’s hit or miss with canned foods.

  19. @FJ_A963 on October 25, 2024 at 4:36 pm

We need a 2024 update please

  20. @CatT1987 on October 25, 2024 at 4:36 pm

Your reviews are not realistic with a couple of exceptions. Most are not affordable at all for the average consumer…You would have to be very wealthy to be able to afford to feed your cat like that and some of the others are still pricey or you can’t find them. They’re either out of stock or still too expensive. And reviewing dry cat food. The experts say you shouldn’t feed your cat dry cat food. The reason is that many cats don’t often drink enough water so they can become dehydrated which leads to a host of health problems including kidney problems. The truth is all of these specialty more healthier cat food comes with a price. They’re too expensive! All the other commercial cat foods such as Friskies and that they’re cheap and they may not be as healthy but this is what people can afford. One that you listed which is Tiki is the one that makes most sense as you can find it at Walmart and other big grocers and it’s not too high priced. The other is Wellness which is a good option too.

Thank you so much!! the last one was a lifesaver!!

  22. @cosmeticsandpurseswithevelyn on October 25, 2024 at 4:37 pm

    My Cats wont eat Paté

  23. @shanavas5216 on October 25, 2024 at 4:39 pm

Hey I am living in Uae. I tried this Pro nutrition PRESTIGE cat food. My cat has adapted to it very fastly and I see my cat is more active now. Before my cat has formation of hairballs. Now it has very shiny hair and no balls . Its high protein level is very healthy for cat and their foods are grain free

  24. @OdinsCloud on October 25, 2024 at 4:39 pm

Smalls small bird is Chicken… My cat is not a fan of chicken unless i cook it myself. He likes Game Hens, Duck, Venison, Loves Rabbit, Squirrel (got that once), some fish, Beef and Bison.

  25. @Tifford1 on October 25, 2024 at 4:43 pm

    No Iams?

  26. @NecroKlutz on October 25, 2024 at 4:45 pm

You should get the tap water lab tested. Tap has a lot of chemicals that you shouldn’t put in your cat’s food

  27. @mikawest1234 on October 25, 2024 at 4:46 pm

Unfortunately Rawmix has high content of Sunflower oil. Seed oils cause inflammation, the underlying cause of several health issues. I would not recommend that dry food. 😢 Sorry for the negative input I very much appreciate the hard work and dedication you put into these research! 🙏🏼

  28. @xzop2688 on October 25, 2024 at 4:47 pm

    Smalls has canola oil

  29. @davidwashington4278 on October 25, 2024 at 4:53 pm

    Thanks!

  30. @2013AT95 on October 25, 2024 at 4:53 pm

I bought Orijen for my cat but I didn’t realize it was pate. He HATES pate. That limits me so much in a great quality food 😢

  31. @Dmtmindset222 on October 25, 2024 at 4:53 pm

Cat moms and dad’s, let’s follow eachother ❤

  32. @scrappyjack1 on October 25, 2024 at 4:54 pm

Please talk about freeze dry cat food choices. I recently switched from Nulo kibble to Stella and Chewy freeze dry because mu cat refused to eat it. He is 2 and loves the freeze dry.
Tried Dr. Marty’s also. He only enjoyed the chicken and chicken topper. Saying this, he will eat Purina Naturals kibble in green package.
My feral will also eat this. Please advise and I appreciate your advice. ❤ Oh, he likes Sheba and Fancy Feast for the wet food. My feral likes Friskies wet.
I know Friskies has faults. Im retired and on a budget. Can’t even get a collar on her. ❤

  33. @davidroberts5600 on October 25, 2024 at 4:56 pm

We’re struggling with Nulo. Cats don’t like it. We also read that it has cranberries which supposedly are dangerous for cats but I’m not sure.

  34. @MrErickGee on October 25, 2024 at 4:58 pm

How do you feel about feeding cats Tuna?

  35. @Dmtmindset222 on October 25, 2024 at 4:59 pm

    ORIJEN

  36. @olgaskold6213 on October 25, 2024 at 5:00 pm

None of the cat food has bones in it which is very important for cats. I’m feeding my cat raw feeding Miami, but we are planning to move abroad so for the convenience I’m looking for some canned cat food and so far don’t see any decent balanced food. ☹️

  37. @DC-ef8op on October 25, 2024 at 5:02 pm

What are your thoughts on dentistry my cat got a tumor after his dentistry

  38. @concretejungle77 on October 25, 2024 at 5:03 pm

canola oil is is most def NOT good for cats

  39. @olgaskold6213 on October 25, 2024 at 5:03 pm

Can’t are 100% carnivore why they put bunch fruits and veggies in the cat food? 🤦🏼‍♀️ I also hate when dry cat food is mixed with wet. To digest dry food cat’s stomach needs to produce different acidity than wet. 😏

  40. @safehaven5176 on October 25, 2024 at 5:04 pm

Can you review Darwin’s Natural Pet Food !!

  41. @SoubiLoveless on October 25, 2024 at 5:05 pm

Thank you so much for making this video!! I love, love, love your videos and content! I really appreciate you for doing all these reviews and research!! Lots of success to you!! God bless!

  42. @Ronin-g3o on October 25, 2024 at 5:05 pm

    Thank you 👍 very informative

  43. @Hellohaley1010 on October 25, 2024 at 5:05 pm

Aaaaahhhh!!! 🙀 canola oil in smalls! Canceling my subscription now! This is HIGHLY inflammatory. My family does not consume oils like these because of how toxic they are for the body. Neither should my cats! 😤

  44. @OnlyJalenPhd on October 25, 2024 at 5:05 pm

My Savannah has eaten Orijen for a couple of years, and she suddenly started throwing it up. The vet can’t find anything wrong w/ her, so she suspects a sensitivity. (She also gets wet.) Quality cat food is expensive, but owning any pet is, if you’re concerned about their health. I understand there are people who can’t afford these, but Nulo is a good option. Even if that’s the cat’s wet food, it’s a good option for those who love their cat, but are on a tight budget.
It shouldn’t be this difficult to find good food for your pet!! Thank you for going down this rabbit hole!

  45. @samuelm.5752 on October 25, 2024 at 5:06 pm

The pricing is much higher on all these pet foods due to bad economic policies in the past nearly 4 years.

  46. @Ronin-g3o on October 25, 2024 at 5:08 pm

    Thank you 👍 very informative

  47. @mehbubamnowrin9779 on October 25, 2024 at 5:08 pm

nulo has carageenan which causes cancer in cats. idk why u always keep promoting nulo cat food.it sucks

  48. @sitori2509 on October 25, 2024 at 5:10 pm

    Best that YOU tested.

  49. @brushstroke7190 on October 25, 2024 at 5:11 pm

should make sure your pet food doesn’t have synthetics (e.g., artificial vitamins/minerals). major pet food companies use known carcinogens, so little wonder why cancer is the leading cause of untimely pet death

  50. @recycledfelines on October 25, 2024 at 5:11 pm

Nulo literally has saved so many cats here at my rescue. I can’t even begin to count them. When a kiddo doesn’t want to eat, I reach for nulo. We are a rescue of about 60, And we absolutely make sure we budget in to make sure Nulo is our main go to. We also have to supplement with dry, because we are a rescue and it’s a shoestring budget, but another contender that I would like to add would be the mosse, amazing!
