Probiotics to Stop Itching in Dog Allergies

Dr Jones’ Free Book… http://www.veterinarysecrets.com/news
Can probiotics really help your allergic dog stop itching and scratching?
There are new studies showing promising results, as well as an ongoing study using a probiotic supplement for dog atopy.

Lactobacillus Rhamnosus is the one probiotic to show the most benefits for atopy.

Suggested dose: 1billion CFU’s per 10lbs of body weight daily.

Is there a specific probiotic that will help my dog with recurrent superficial staph infections? 😢 he’s not itching, he just gets crusty bumps and then hair loss

My dog has never had itchy skin or 👂🏻 until about 9 months ago when we moved. We had spent almost $2,00 on her at the vet. Changing her food and shots . She is a Shihpoo. What do you think is the best one ?
    Thank you

I have a question. You know with humans they say one table spoon of raw sauerkraut is like one bottle of that stuff. Can dogs have sauerkraut or is salt super bad?

  7. @ParDiss-e4i on October 26, 2024 at 3:49 pm

My cat has worms and the first day of probiotic he felt a bit bad but then the stools haven’t improved just the frequency improved so he only goes once. But I think he still needs deworming.

❤ is this Probiotic a good one also if your dog was given an Antibiotic Shot for a Very Bad UTI?

I take probiotics myself and I switch from Natural Factor and Solaray. I give her one capsule a day. I also give her Optigest. Since Optigest is just prebiotics do you think I’m giving her too much? I can say that the combination of the two has helped so many problems with skin, allergies and shedding. The bad breath stopped when I added Natural Factor. 🤗 As always thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.

  17. @pamp3246 on October 26, 2024 at 3:59 pm

Any good probiotic in the liquid form? My dog is extremely picky with his food and treats and the Dr just put him on a ten day antibiotic treatment.

  18. @MPBADASS90 on October 26, 2024 at 4:01 pm

I did some looking and just so everyone knows if you have a Sam’s Club membership their Probiotics have that LGG strain in it. $15.67 for 84 10 Billion CFU capsules 😏😎

  19. @alexandrawhitelock6195 on October 26, 2024 at 4:02 pm

Having dealt with this over the years with my working gsds. TEST! Then supportive care.
Dr Jean Dodd,s Nutrican and a new option 5Strand tests. This shines light in what the triggers are…then you can remove culprit proteins and possible environmental issue…

My dog won’t stop licking his bum. They said glands are fine no infection its allergies they gave an allergy shot and gave me an anti inch spray but not working what can I do?

  22. @Backyardsniper73 on October 26, 2024 at 4:07 pm

Is this also effective for yeast? What’s the best natural source ?

  23. @MaldoseWife on October 26, 2024 at 4:08 pm

My bulldog keeps getting a tail pocket infection. (Cork screw tail) Could you do a video on how to remedy this? I’ve heard of quite a few people with this issue in regards to the bulldog breed. Would a probiotic keep it from coming back if it’s able to be cleared up? Also what do I use to clear it up? Do u think apple cider vinegar + an antiseptic wipe twice a day would be to painful? Different vets keep offering antibiotics but all it does is give him a sick tummy and not help the underlying issue. Thank you for all ur videos

big question is WHY so many allergies for dogs & people these days??? is it the food, the vaxx’s, the air due to aerosol spraying??? dogs & people should not have so many allergies

If my dog is smaller than 20lb Tula, more like 13-15lbs, can I just divide the capsule contents for him??? I would if it was a tablet but some capsules have time released ingredients I believe. Thanks

  38. @luvsakura9912 on October 26, 2024 at 4:20 pm

Have you tried dr shiba dog treat supplements? It has probiotics too. My dogs are on their 2nd set of jars. I noticed great improvement on their fur – shiny & silky. Specifically with my adopted dog (which i think is a mix bearded collie). His dry fizzeled, easy matted fur now has less matting, shiny, smooth & silky. Works on my beagle too.
And their in form of treats so easier to feed on the dogs. Just want to share for alternatives. Thank u.

Thank you for this helpful info! I found this brand with 10 billion active cells instead of 5. I have 7 lb chihuahua. Can I use this and maybe just use half once a day?

  40. @flipflop8989 on October 26, 2024 at 4:22 pm

Does that product you showed have a prebiotic to

  41. @bonitagirlyy on October 26, 2024 at 4:23 pm

Would you just give one capsule for a dog? Mine is about 12 lbs

  42. @jleetxgirl on October 26, 2024 at 4:23 pm

Hi, Dr Jones. I appreciate your videos very much!
I have a cat who is? Years old probably 8 – 10. She is picky.
Now she is even more and won’t eat much grain free dry food, tuna I buy at y he grocery store except licking the juice/ none of the ‘meat’. She wants the greenie treats with a soft center or the new squeezable soft treats, but of course, she is getting bored or just back to picky.
What can I do for her? She doesn’t like my cooked meats either🤨

  43. @mariagillinson8527 on October 26, 2024 at 4:23 pm

Head shaking I’m losing my mind.

  44. @magdalenakutarnia7517 on October 26, 2024 at 4:23 pm

Is good for 6 months old puppy too?

  45. @lisabach3130 on October 26, 2024 at 4:24 pm

Do you recommend a specific brand or probiotic for a dog with allergies?

  46. @thedude2897 on October 26, 2024 at 4:27 pm

Some probiotics can be high histamine so they can actually make things worse in some cases.

  47. @christinadelp1932 on October 26, 2024 at 4:28 pm

How do you give this to your dog? Do you open it and mix it in with food? Do you wrap it in something and hope they swallow it? Thank you in advance.

  48. @DanielRamirez-hv6dr on October 26, 2024 at 4:28 pm

Id like to send you a video of my dogs breathing. Im concerned because she starts beating fast out of nowhere and starts breathing nornal again after like 5 fast deep breaths that she took. If this a normal thing in dogs? I am a first time owner.

  49. @victoriacodispoti803 on October 26, 2024 at 4:29 pm
