nice its worken. i know its gonna take a while like 2 weeks. im on 3rd day and my water dish soap dish fills up. so i just leave it there. we have cats and they like to go outside.

  2. @barbaratrubenbach115 on October 25, 2024 at 4:16 pm

To save money on electric i use battery powered emergency lights, also the solar lights you use outside, this works wonders. Been spraying with Ortho Home Defense, it works but I know I am killing all these pesky flea with the water.

I have fleas in my bedroom right now because one of my cat’s got fleas, I’ll show this to my dad because he’s a joiner and he’ll make one.

I don’t speak english well, but light is atracctive to fleas?

  6. @reighnhkgdvk8881 on October 25, 2024 at 4:20 pm

this does not work in the slightest. we cannot get rid of the fleas we have right now even after bombing. its winter, cat brought them in , we are so sad to leave him outside but it is so bad we are going insane. we have never had a problem before and they are only going to me and the other girl in the house (even on a months old baby whos a girl) TO. OUR. HAIR. 24 bloody 7 they are in my hair. funny thing is the guys think we are crazy bc they havent seen any but maybe a couple on them ! but the girls get together and rage. so many. imma lose my hair from all the tea tree oil , its so strong its burning me but does not do what it claims it does. the guys here. these traps worked for gnats & thats it. have one set up right now thats been there for weeks and not 1 single flea. got the sticky trap under the light , its made for it. have lil dish traps everywhere and when i put them by my hair is the only time even 1 flea is caught and its by accident. we need something that will actually work bc we see them and feel them constantly.

great idea about using individual battery operated lights … thanx

swap the water and dawn dish soap out for canned bean juice and use a blacklight.

I’m on the same ship with all of you. Missed my dogs monthly by 2 weeks because other problems made my mind blurry! Wish I remembered. Anyway, she got her Credelio pill which is $23! But we’ll worth. I bought 2, and I’m on the verge of just giving the 2nd one only a week later. I vacuum every day, Used advantage home spray, threw down food grade DE on all carpets for 3 days. Vacuumed that up today! Had to buy a shop vac because you need power to pick up that stuff. Then today, I sprayed whole house with Adam’s home spray and left for 4 hours. I don’t really see the fleas, nor am I getting bitten, but I’m itchy, and dog still bites violently like twice a day, and does the head shake, so I know they are here. Guess I’ll keep vacuuming and going to try the light/water soap trap. If all else fails, I will call steam cleaner and pest control. Not really sure what’s even happening anymore. I pretty much got rid of palmettos which was hard, but these things are on another level. 50-100 eggs a day is what I have been reading. That’s no joke, this will be a 2nd full time job until it’s over! I’m too old for this Bs! Lol. Good luck all!

Btw, with all the stuff I’ve done, including washing bedding, etc, it does help a lot!!!! But you have to be so very consistent. Tedious and frustrating, especially when the wife isn’t helping at all! Just complaining 🤷‍♂️

    Great idea, thanks for sharing!!!

  11. @1lovebaybee on October 25, 2024 at 4:26 pm

Thank you but what did you do to treat your carpets ect. Should I be placing this mixture under a lamp? Should I leave all lights off except one? Does this help with spray and treatment on carpet areas? Along with flea baths and treatments for my kitty boys?

  12. @dawnrobinette5286 on October 25, 2024 at 4:26 pm

What if the dogs try to drink the concoction?

  13. @afa78djd on October 25, 2024 at 4:26 pm

I don’t know how but I’ve been trapping white caterpillars in these, they look like maguey worms. How tf?

  14. @Th3_n3rdtavrn on October 25, 2024 at 4:27 pm

neighborhood has a ton of stray cats, so most of our lawns are absolutely infested. Would be fine on it’s own but i have 3 cat’s (the oldest likes to come and go inside and out as he pleases) so it’s left me battling an infestation in the home as well for the last few months.
Every time i pick one off me i feel 2 more hop on for a chomp. My ankles look absolutely atrocious right now. Very desperately watching your vid hoping this works!

  15. @happythewayiam4057 on October 25, 2024 at 4:28 pm

It’s actually the heat not the light that attracts them

  16. @01keyboard on October 25, 2024 at 4:29 pm

Do you remember what that wristband on your hand was for? Reminds me of red ribbon week in school 😂

  17. @gamer2000ize on October 25, 2024 at 4:30 pm

I used this same method and YES it worked great, within 2 weeks I was flea free!! I also didn’t have a small lamp to use so I took a night light that uses a regular bulb and placed it up side down, facing the mixture, worked just as well… Looking forward to seeing more of your ideas!!!

  18. @ккє-о6ц on October 25, 2024 at 4:33 pm

Does it matter if the light produces heat or not? I only have my phones light.

Last week I let my sister’s dog sleep in my bed. Not long after I started getting really sick and bug bites everywhere, cleaned the whole house washed my linens everything. In only 24 hours I discovered gritty sand between my sheets, and lots of it. I cleaned my sheets again on higher heat and showered in blistering heat, I swept the sand onto the tile floor and meant to deal with it in the morning. An hour later more sand on my bed. Every hour I kept shuffling the sand onto the floor. I lost my mind. I found out they were eggs and I oiled my legs with peppermint oil. Extremely strong stuff. I bundled up, washed everything except my top sheet, there were no eggs under it, so I just swept it all on the floor, set the Roomba free three times and poured boiling water on the floor twice. The extra layers of clothes seemed to help a bit, still got bit on the hand twice. It’s now morning I’m going to try this and not stop cleaning until they are GONE

Eww. Use a gas bomb. I cover my fish tank with plastic, set it off before I go to work. Set the thermostat to go on 2 hours before I come home. Open the window in one of the rooms and shut the door so that she the air come on it blows into that room and out the window so by the end of the 2 hours the house is aired out and and everything is dead. And the room that has the door shut will get the fuses once the air kicks in on so it get the entire house. I use 3 cans which is enough for 6000 sf. Turn your couch cushions on their side, stick your sheets in the washer with borax soap and your house will be 100% pest free for 2 months. I do this every 2-3 months because I have a doggy door and my dog comes in and out. He takes flea meds but he still tracks them in. Much more effective than plates of soap everywhere for weeks.

  27. @almaburns6562 on October 25, 2024 at 4:44 pm

BigBuddeTV. Would regular tea lights be more effective than LED lights, since the regular ones produce heat in addition to light?

I’m here coz a half feral cat living in my shed has helped a flea explosion… i walked in and grabbed a hose, looking down my feet were covered in fleas… like 20 or more- literally 30vseconds in shed. I gota a fight on my hands here. Ive started vacumming daily , been only 3 or 4 days now… guna put yhese traps around inside. Out near shed i wont need a light. They are bloody everywhere!!! Man i didnt expect this… my cat cat is staying indoirs til problem sorted which unfortunately includes getting ol mate to the cat shelter. I dont want to but he is a rescue with no learnings… he is always scared ( even tho he comes to me for pats hes always ready to leg it away atvfirst sound) he wees etc in his bed / sleeping area because of his fears… hes come a long way but never learned any cat behaviour. Ive tried but once he escaped outdoirs after cupla months in laundry/ back of house (big area) i let him live his life… ofcourse hes fed and flea treated thru food etc but it aint doin shiite obviously. I cant believe how many fleas there are out there…. i flea bombed the insude of shed. Guna try every trick from here out… ta for tip

  30. @Hello-nf1ny on October 25, 2024 at 4:52 pm

Gosh, i wish i had known of this sooner! My cat has been giving me headaches with those fleas *around my bed* . I tried cleaning my room, meticulously, but they persist to still live and bit me.

This is a 6 yrs old video yet it still proves to be extremely helpful, thank you so much!! The trap works wonder and it seems my room is now completely free of them since it’s been two weeks and there’s no sign of biting, thankfully.

Also pardon for the long comment and if my English is not perfect, I’m just very grateful for this video😅

  31. @kylajohnson8864 on October 25, 2024 at 4:54 pm

I too was unsure if this was going to work but the next day, a flea or two hopped into the trap! It was like a miracle come true. I didn’t even know I had a bunch of these little critters in my home. I eventually left it for two more days and wow, can you believe theres over 20 fleas inside the trap??
Long story short, this trap is AMAZING. It works very well and all I did was used a ceramic large bowl with water + dish soap with my iHome placed on yellow light on the floor. I tried to do another one downstairs but I think I need a better LED light for that. Overall, 100% works. You should definitely try this if you have annoying fleas that bite your skin when you’re asleep. It helps bring ease to the mind.
    Thank you BigBudde!

Our fleas aren’t falling for these shenanigans. We’ve got these and the sticky pad type all over the house, and all we catch are flying gnats and an ant or two.

  35. @stacynewman1632 on October 25, 2024 at 5:01 pm

Please don’t put Diatomaceous Earth on pets until you have tried it on yourself… I put it all over my bed and slept on top. I had horrific pain all night long… terrible dreams as well. I woke up do dehydrated, and looking like a 100yr old. I couldn’t believe it. My joints were so painful, my skin. Ugh Same happened a week later when I tried it… I quickly washed it off my pets, myself, and vacuumed everywhere. It may be natural but natural things also cause severe problems in our body. Please try DE on yourself before your pets and you will see what I mean. Yes I used Food Grade.

Great idea but you all know about garlic and giving it to your dog it’s a natural flea repellent dont believe that it will poison your dog, I use half a clove for every 10 kg of bodyweight peel and crush and let sit for 5 min to release the allacin mix with food twice a week, some dogs don’t like the smell so garlic capsules can be used instead

  46. @lindaariza48 on October 25, 2024 at 5:09 pm

    Definitely the frugal way to go! I tried it & IT WORKS! THANK-YOU 😊 from 2 happy cats 🐈 ❤ 😊 😃 😺

Thank you for this! made one last night with an old cricket carrier and the insides of a busted ceramic lamp. Drilled a hole through the bottom of the cricket cage and fed the lamp insides through it. Sit the cricket cage lamp on top of a bowl and this morning it had like 20-30 inside. My dog gets his monthly flea meds but somehow they make their way inside. Thoughts anyone?

  48. @LydiaButler-z5p on October 25, 2024 at 5:10 pm

Also tried vacuum only I sprayed the inside of vacuum canister lightly with raid all the fleas vacuumed up died instantly I rinsed it out afterwards. Lots of dead fleas .

  49. @nicolelouca6796 on October 25, 2024 at 5:11 pm

Is it safe? What if the cat tries the water?

  50. @johnl9977 on October 25, 2024 at 5:12 pm

Yeah, I tried Hot Shot Bedbug and Flea Fogger, but it did not do squat. I just set this up in the room after, and it has gotten at least 50 so far. My daughter was always having the cat in her room, and that is going to stop if I ever get it cleaned up.
